Who loves a black sheep? We do and we love the socks that their wool creates! Our black sheep don’t have true black wool, so we call it dark gray. You’ll see it’s more of a dark chocolate or black coffee color and we think you’ll love it!

We are still looking to close mid-September but will be selling our products at the store even after closing, however, as the building will no longer belong to us, we need to downsize! Come out and find antique textile equipment and tools or filing cabinets and tables. Of course we also are stocked with yarn, lanolin, socks and all the other wool products you’ve come to love!

Now that the contract is signed, we await the closing date for the sale of our log cabin store. We think this will be mid- or late-September.

We will be leasing a portion of the store to enable us to continue to serve our patron customers and to allow us time to focus on where we will determine to have our ranch operation. We do have some interesting and wonderful options. Time will tell and with God’s direction we will proceed.

Please keep us in your prayers as we proceed forward.

Did you know our yarn is the lowest price for high quality yarn? We never use synthetic fibers. Our wool is American raised if not Virginia raised! Our cotton is locally grown. Many of our colorways are hand kettle-dyed with eco-friendly dyes!

We want to get more tours on the calendar especially as we head into Fall! Booking is easy online. Tours are about 90 minutes and include so much history and wonderful stories from our very own 90 year old shepherd, Francis Chester! You’ll learn more than you expected and have the most fun!

Tours are available 7 days a week and start at our log cabin country store at 2570 Little Calf Pasture Highway in Swoope! On your tour you will:

View demonstrations
