Congratulations to Kristen Hill, Educational Environment Strategist, and Melissa Mountain, Interior Designer, on earning their Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP) designation from the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE). According to A4LE, ALEP signifies excellence in the industry and is designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and identify those in the educational environment industry who demonstrate the core competencies essential to the practice of planning, designing, equipping, and maintaining educational environments.
Both Hill and Mountain had to demonstrate knowledge in the following seven competencies and mastery of the following skills necessary to implement them: Educational Visioning, Community Engagement, Learning Environment Pre-Design Planning, Design of Learning Environments, Educational Facility Implementation and Project Management/Project Delivery, Assessment of the School Facility, and Ethics/Professionalism.
Offered Hill on the ALEP experience, “Melissa and I are grateful to have been a part of the 10th Cohort for the Advanced Academy. It was wonderful to connect with and learn from and alongside colleagues around the country while also being able to put into practice our elevated thinking on activated project work. We are excited to share more of how we have been putting this thinking into action during our interactive session, "Stakeholder Engagement Methods Design Jam" at LearningSCAPES 2024 in Portland, Oregon on October 19!
Hill and Mountain join Susanne Angarano, Owner, and Catherine Wolfe, Educational Environment Strategist, as Accredited Learning Environment Planners (ALEP) at Vaysen Studio.
Congratulations Kristen and Melissa!
