Central New York landowners - Chicken of the Woods, Chanterelles, and Black Trumpets may be growing on your property right now, and ๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐๐ฒ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ฆ.
I'm Zach, founder of ๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐
๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฌ โ the only NYS licensed and certified wild mushroom harvester operating in Central New York. I supply specialty and foraged mushrooms to restaurants, chefs, and food lovers across the region. I know what I'm looking for, I know what it's worth, and I will come to you.
What to look for:
๐งกChicken of the Woods - bright orange and yellow shelves growing on or at the base of oak, cherry, or locust trees. Hard to miss.
๐ Chanterelles โ golden yellow, funnel shaped, fruiting in mossy hardwood forest floors near oak and beech. Often in clusters.
๐ค Black Trumpets โ small, dark, trumpet shaped mushrooms growing in leaf litter under beech and oak. Easy to overlook but incredibly valuable.
Here's the thing Wild mushroom identification requires expertise and experience. Look-alike species exist and misidentification can be dangerous. That's where I come in.
If you think you have any of these on your property, you must send clear photos along with your location before I can come out.
Photos are required - this is how I confirm the species and plan my visit. No photos, no visit.
I will come to you, harvest responsibly, and pay you on the spot.
This is a win for both of us. Your property produces something valuable, I do the work, and you get paid.
