Telling this story in layman’s terms ♥️💦👇
Noah was willing to look stupid and crazy to do as he was directed to do by the Lord. He went about with marching orders regardless of what one could only imagine was likely his own doubt, fear or confusion. A realistic assumption with this story is that he likely faced a tremendous amount of scrutiny over the decision to build this massive boat in the middle of land.
In the end, however, it was his very decision to be obedient that saved him, his family and essentially, as the story goes, basically the entire future of humanity.
All this to say:
Sometimes being obedient to the Lord won’t make sense to anyone around you. It frankly might not even make sense to you yet. But, Noah didn’t need to see the flood to build the ark. He just needed to take the action he was called to do and act before he could see the manifest reality in time/space/etc. with complete conviction and trust.
This is what it feels like to walk in obedience with the Lord, and this is also what it feels like to be an entrepreneur.
Sometimes, what you want to create doesn’t even exist yet. There is nothing to compare it to. The lightbulb, for example. It starts as a seed of an idea. Faith the size of a mustard seed. And you have to take it upon yourself to be the one to bring it to life.
The path is never promised to be easy, but boy is it fruitful and fulfilling when you see the promises of God fulfilled or the fruits of your labor transformed into something new for the world to experience.
