Had some fun today to just create…no timeline…no expectations…just peace and joy.

Walked the yard for some fun stuff…minus the dahlias….wont tell ya where those came from

Started with whites in the outside then felt it needed some in the middle.

A fun and funky cascade that’s lightweight and out there a bit!

It would need to be in a hydration chamber for the dahlias to make it. Tho, in reality a different flower that could last if wired or glued would be ideal.

BTW I was told I needed to pay the model….😂

Yesterday was a day that started with some crazy rain then wild wind!! I had a quick moment to get a couple photos and that’s it!

Fall is here whether we like it or not….so are the back to school colds….yay! If you’re fighting what’s going around, like me, enjoy some pretty fall flowers and feel better!

A wedding yesterday at Environmental Services Building and it was a hang on to your hat kind of day! Crazy wind!

It’s been a very long season and I still have weddings until the end of October.

This wedding was for the sweetest couple on Sunday. I loved working with them and I wanted it perfect! It was a hard week…

I don’t have bouquet photos for a couple of reasons. 1) it was pouring out 2) I struggled with her bouquet.

There…I said it.

Every bouquet is different. Every bouquet is a unique design. I don’t copy and paste the same design and change out the colors. These bouquets are unique designs to fit the vision and esthetic of their wedding.

Some weeks the bouquets flow together. This one was fighting back with me like trying to fold a fitted sheet…iykyk

I fought it until I just had to wrap it and hit the road. I had a very small window to “restructure” her bouquet on site. Like 10 mins…fix it or she walks the aisle with it. This was first for me…never have done this!

I’m stubborn…ask all who know me…I’m also determined to make it better. It was better… check my story for what it looked like after the restructuring.

It left me with a feeling of is this my sign…my sign to walk away…ate at me for a couple days…a long walk…maybe some running (that I shouldn’t be doing).

No…quitting just opens up the door for someone else to walk in…. I’m also competitive….so NO, I will NOT quit!

Just showing y’all that this is hard job! A job that carries so much responsibility because I want it perfect for my couples. I’m showing you what it’s like and being very transparent! It can also eat away at your confidence if you let it! I’m trying hard to not let it.

So let’s move on to the wedding for this week and stay positive! You’ve got this!

A new venue for me The Edgewater Hotel Weddings and it’s amazing! Great staff and a beautiful view! The waterfront area is truly a great place to walk in the sunshine and sightsee!

A huge shout out to Danielle Weil | Founder & CEO | Washington Wedding Planner for trusting me with your clients vision. It was so great to work with you again and the wedding was beautiful!! 🌸

A huge congratulations to A & W!! Thank you for being so kind and easy to work with! It was an honor!

We were able to donate the ceremony pieces to ☀️Rise Above. Reach Beyond.🏡 the next morning.

Let’s go finish this season with a few more fun weddings including a special one with a beach & sunshine! Then it will be time to reevaluate the ups & downs of this season and move into 2027 organized and ready!

A venue that I fell in love with! Mount Peak Farm is stunning. The roses blooming were beautiful and the view of the mountain was crazy gorgeous!

Megan & Spencer were so sweet to work with! It was a dream color palette for a late Spring wedding!

Thursday was spent in a place that I have been going to since 1973. Every winter. Being up there was my happy place. While changes have been made over the years the memories are still there of the fun on that run or the fun in the bowl on a bluebird day.

Summertime has a different feel and I want to go hike up around the place.

This wedding was a darker vibe for a Summer wedding but fit the mountain surroundings and this couple. It was a cloudy day with cool temps and I added the mountain for y’all!

The Evergreen Room is quaint and a stunning view. Can only imagine what it would look like in the winter.

There wasn’t time to truly enjoy the scenery as I had another wedding that needed my attention that evening. Also, don’t leave Crystal at 2:55pm and expect 1 1/2 hr drive back to the Narrows Bridge…😂

Wedding #2 of Saturday was a very colorful & bright palette! It was a beautiful wedding!

Penny Yoro did a phenomenal job of choosing the right colors to tie in with florals! Nailed it Pen!

It was a burgundy and chartreuse green wedding with pops of pinks and light green.

Her bouquet was so much fun to create!! C’s face lit up when she saw it! I was so happy she loved it!

I have another crazy and fun week ahead of me! So stay tuned for more later in the week!
