As longtime supporters of Central Valley Habitat for Humanity, we were proud to participate in this year’s 6th Annual Golf Benefit at Spotswood Country Club Inc. It was a beautiful day spent connecting with clients, partners, friends, and community members who are united by a shared commitment to strengthening communities and supporting organizations that make a lasting difference.

At LDDBlueline, we believe strong relationships are the foundation of everything we do. We support one another, invest in our communities, and partner with organizations that create meaningful change. Whether through our work or our volunteer efforts, we strive to model generosity and humility while fostering connection, belonging, and joy.

Thank you to Central Valley Habitat for Humanity for the opportunity to invest in a mission that empowers families and builds stronger communities!

Founded in 2016, Design Like a Girl is a Washington-based program that introduces middle school girls to architecture, construction, engineering, and related professions through mentorship and hands-on experiences, helping inspire the next generation of women in STEM.

LDDBlueline Senior Project Manager and Interior Designer Linda Potrafke joined students for a day centered around the theme: Memorial and Sacred Spaces. The day trip including a visit to the United States Navy Memorial.

The girls then created their own unique memorials and sacred spaces, from turtle sanctuaries and waterfalls to peaceful gardens and forest hideaways, proving that thoughtful design can tell powerful stories and inspire connection.

Safe to say the future of design is already sketching big ideas. ✨

Every space carries its own identity, but the best ones still bring people together.

A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated our DC office by doing exactly that, opening our doors to partners, future collaborators, clients, friends of the firm, and one another as coworkers under the blue beam office lights and rooftop terrace at 1203 19th Street in the heart of DC.🏛️✨💞

It was an evening of conversations about work, challenges, opportunities, industry news, and plenty of laughter in between. But beyond the conversations themselves, it was a reminder that the strongest part of any office isn’t the location, it’s the relationships built inside it. There was something meaningful about seeing existing relationships deepen while new ones began to take shape, all beneath the glow of the room! You could say the event was lit!

We’re grateful to everyone who spent the evening with us. Can't wait to see what's next for our Team in DC and our firm as a whole!

🎬🎶LDDBlueline delivered full architectural and interior design services for the 49,748-square-foot, 900-seat Performing Arts Center at Coffee High School in Douglas, GA, creating a dynamic home for student expression and community connection. Guided by our purpose to Deliver Innovative Buildings of Lasting Value That Exceed Your Expectations, we create educational environments that expand opportunity and elevate the student experience. In collaboration with Jones Construction, this state-of-the-art facility was thoughtfully realized to support both performance and learning at the highest level. Designed as a platform for possibility, it empowers young performers by giving their voices, talents, and visions a stage worthy of their potential.

The main auditorium, complete with a balcony, offers an immersive setting for large-scale productions, while the flexible 100-seat black box theater supports both classroom learning and experimental performance. Advanced audio, video, and lighting systems ensure students engage with professional-grade tools, preparing them for future creative pursuits. Thoughtful acoustic design, including a sculpted ceiling and precision-tuned wall systems, enhances every note and every word, reinforcing the importance of clarity and confidence in performance. A welcoming through-lobby seamlessly connects the school and surrounding campus, encouraging accessibility and community engagement. Positioned adjacent to existing amenities and enhanced by a new courtyard walkway, the center becomes a natural gathering place for both students and the broader rural community.

More than a building, this Performing Arts Center is a catalyst, championing youth creativity, fostering artistic growth, and inspiring the next generation to step boldly into the spotlight.🎭🔦

Opening Doors to Opportunity at Pleasant View Inc.!

LDDBlueline was honored to be a part of the Pleasant View Inc. Group Home Renovation Open House this week, celebrating a space designed to truly support and uplift its residents. Pleasant View’s mission to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is brought to life through thoughtful design that promotes independence, dignity, and connection.

Their commitment to holistic well-being ensures that residents can pursue meaningful work, relationships, and personal growth in a supportive environment. This renovation was not just an exciting project, but meaningful to its core. As Development Director Pam Miller shared, “I was able to show the new home to a new resident’s mother who described the space as a Happy Home, as she could feel the warmth throughout the spaces, and that made my heart feel really good. I told the mother how LDDBlueline did a wonderful job designing the spaces and making them feel warm and welcoming for returning and new residents." Best wishes to Pleasant View Inc. and their newly renovated group home! We were happy to serve you! 🎉

Running alongside local businesses, community members, and plenty of furry companions, LDDBlueline's Jose Thompson & Tessa Bennetch laced up and hit the pavement for our long-time client's Anicira Mutt Strut 5K event at Hillandale Park last Saturday!

We were thrilled to be part of this event, an energizing way to welcome spring, connect with the community, and celebrate the special bond between people and their pets. From wagging tails to smiling faces, the day was full of heart, movement, and meaningful connection. Even better, 100% of the race proceeds support Anicira Veterinary Center, helping provide compassionate, accessible care for pets and the families who love them throughout the Valley.

Proud to support such an impactful mission and already looking forward to next year! 🐾🌿

🏚️🌿🛠️🕰️Projects like the James Madison University Hooke House illustrate that historic preservation is more than restoring a building, it is about safeguarding a story while thoughtfully preparing it for continued use. At LDDBlueline, we approach each preservation effort with a deep respect for original craftsmanship, understanding that every material, proportion, and detail contributes to the character and authenticity of the structure.

🔍From reconstructing architectural elements based on historical documentation to integrating modern systems and ADA accessibility, we ensure that upgrades are seamless and sensitive to the building’s heritage. This level of attention requires not only technical expertise, but also patience, research, and a commitment to getting the details right.

📜The Hooke House project is a testament to this philosophy, where meticulous restoration and thoughtful intervention resulted in a space that honors its past while serving present and future needs. This dedication to excellence for this project was recognized as “A Model of Exemplary State Stewardship” by the Virginia Department of Historic Resources in its Report on the Stewardship and Status of State-Owned Property: 2021–2023.

🧱For LDDBlueline, projects like these are an opportunity to preserve cultural legacy with precision, care, and purpose.

LDDBlueline is proud to see the Piedmont Medical Office Building officially under construction, an exciting milestone for a project with lasting community impact. This new facility will significantly expand Piedmont’s presence in Northern Cobb County, bringing essential healthcare services closer to a rapidly growing population.

In collaboration with Remedy Medical Properties, Piedmont, Kayne Anderson Real Estate, alongside Kimley-Horn as civil engineer and Structor Group as general contractor, this project reflects the power of an integrated team working toward a shared goal. Together, we are helping deliver a medical office building designed to support safe, efficient, and high-quality care, strengthening Piedmont’s truly integrated healthcare system and improving access for patients and families.

The healthcare market is critically important to LDDBlueline because these projects directly impact people’s daily lives. Healthcare environments must do more than meet technical requirements, they must support patient dignity, staff efficiency, safety, and long-term adaptability. LDDBlueline values the responsibility of designing spaces that enhance care delivery, improve outcomes, and serve communities for decades to come. Being trusted to help shape places where healing, innovation, and compassion intersect is central to our mission and one of the most meaningful aspects of our work.
