Born in Dalton Georgia, the carpet capital of the world, Jim grew up in "the business." His father and his grandfather both worked in the carpet industry and were involved in all aspectas of the trade from working in the carpet mills, to opening flooring retail shops, and professionally installing all types of floor covering. ather who, at the time, was involved with the constuction, and rapid growth in South Florida. Jim joined the Army when he was 17 and spent three years in Germany. After leaving the Army, Jim joined his father's business operating a retail carpet shop in Albany Ga. In 1985, Jim moved to Atlanta and began subcontracting jobs in the flooring industry. In 1987, Jim placed a bid on the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee FL. He spent several months in Tallahassee until the job was completed. After returning to Atlanta, Jim went back to subcontracting, and worked with many retail and commercial outlets including upscale, Rich's Department Store. In 1998, Jim returned to Tallahassee. He owns JW Commercial Floor Covering Installations LLC. which is based in Tallahassee; however, Jim travels throughout the southeast. He is available for all your flooring needs.
