Celebrating 20 Years in Sarasota!
This year, FleischmanGarciaMaslowski (FG+M) Architecture marks two decades of success at our Sarasota location, thanks to the incredible leadership of Debbie Graves, Registered Interior Designer and Senior Associate. We honor this milestone and celebrate Debbie’s well-deserved retirement in January 2025.
Debbie’s passion for Architectural Design and dedication have shaped our Sarasota office into today's thriving hub. Over the years, she has also mentored Nikki Goldberg, fostering her growth and leadership skills. Nikki will now lead the Sarasota office, continuing Debbie's legacy of excellence.
While Debbie steps away from her full-time role, we’re thrilled she’ll continue consulting on the space planning she loves.

Inspiring the Next Generation at the Great American Teach-In!
Stacey Johnston, Interior Designer at FleischmanGarciaMaslowski (FG+M) Architecture, volunteered at Curlew Creek Elementary for the Great American Teach-In, marking her third year bringing the world of design to life for young students. Stacey shared photos of FG+M’s educational projects and then led an interactive session where students helped design a classroom, choosing colors, furniture, and space layouts. She even brought an ottoman for a fun, hands-on experience with the materials used in real projects! Joining her was Gustavo Trujillo, an FG+M Architect, who taught students about Architectural Design, explaining how activities like playing with Legos, building forts with cushions and blankets, and drawing and coloring can spark an interest in a career in Architecture. We’re thrilled to see Stacey and Gustavo inspiring future designers with creativity and passion!

Last Friday, some of our FleischmanGarciaMaslowski (FG+M) team enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the Wesley Chapel Library jobsite! Led by FG+M’s Project Architect Rich Emerson and Bandes Construction, the Construction Manager, our team got an up-close look at the progress, with nearly 90% of the steel framing complete and decking well underway. It's exciting to see our design come to life, and we look forward to sharing more updates as this project continues!

We are excited to partner with the School Board of Manatee County on the new Palma Sola Elementary School! Our watercolor rendering captures the unique spirit of Palma Sola, a town named after the towering date palm that once stood prominently on Snead Island, just across the river. This project emphasizes safety, flexibility, and sustainability, and we eagerly anticipate its positive impact on the community. +M

We're honored to have received recognition for the Judy Genshaft Honors College at USF, Honor Award of Excellence for New Work, where we collaborated with Morphosis Architects as the Design Architect.
The Merit Award for Historic Preservation and Restoration for Tampa Heights Elementary School and the Honor Award of Excellence for Sustainability for the Hanna Avenue City Center.
