Today is Wallpaper Wednesday and, if you would be so bold, I offer you this gorgeous, statement wallpaper by a company called Wallism. Murals are becoming a mainstay in the world of wallpaper as accent walls. These larger than life flowers look stunning next to this vanity with caning in the doors. I paired it with these cane shade 2 light sconces and rope towel holders for added fun. Maybe this will inspire someone to step away from the white and gray vanities... ENOUGH ALREADY! It's been a minute since I designed a room around a great piece of art by a local, black artist and so I decided to do one inspired by my friend Rhonda and her collection. This piece is called Patrice Roberts and it is sexy and strong and sophisticated and I designed this entire room and it's color palette around this piece.

Art should speak to you! It should be personal and more meaningful than just going to buy a piece you find at Homegoods. Buying a piece of local art from an artist supports their work while also giving you a unique, beautiful focall point for your space. It becomes a conversation piece. It fills your heart with joy. You also never know how popular that artist may become in the future and that art can one day become a money earning asset.

This space features a beautiful bed, long lumbar pillow and nighstands by along with four vases, curtains and an area rug by Z Gallerie and these sexy sconces are thru Lamps Plus . I love the luxurious look here and how well it sets off her art. 😍
