Happy Friday! We’re reflecting on the lessons that continue to shape our work through a new series: 10 Things We’ve Learned.

No. 1: Good design starts with listening.

Over the years, we’ve learned that the best design always begins with understanding the clients we’re designing for. Before the plans, palettes, and details come together, we take the time to listen to how our clients live, what inspires them, and what they want their home to feel like.

No two homes are approached the same way because no two clients are the same. Every project challenges us to think differently, creating spaces that are tailored to each client’s lifestyle while remaining functional, elevated, and timeless.

Every home tells a different story. Our role is to translate that story into a home that feels deeply personal and uniquely theirs. It’s the foundation behind every decision we make at Chancey Interior Design.
