I am a self-trained mixed media artist based in Tampa, Florida. My curiosity with the arts started in childhood, producing messy paintings and drawings for hours at end. In my teens, I fell in love with black and white photography and prism lenses. Originally, as an undergraduate, I majored in Radio, Flim, and Television hoping to be the next best MTV music video creator. For 30 years, I made heal
thcare my focus as a practitioner and executive. But something inside kept yearning for a creative outlet. Finally, in 2024, after losing my mother, I found myself watching others paint and create art. And I knew it was time for me, too. Before more time was lost, I realized it was time for me to rediscover and free that young creative girl. That pivotal decision started a whirlwind of exploration and creativity in my life. My studio brings my art and photography back together, “under one roof.”
Besides photography, I enjoy playing and creating with watercolors, acrylics, resins, and inks. I’m always looking for a way to add dimension with cerne relief and even crystals. If there’s a way to highlight with metallic paints, it’s in. My work ranges from the detailed, to seeing how my mediums can flow across the paper and canvas. And I love having color back in my life! In short, I get to play and create. I hope my work helps you to bring into your life and home the sense of play and inspiration.
