Crafted from white pine, this vessel represents my initial endeavor in boat building, incorporating techniques adopted from a professional boat builder. Measuring 5 1/2 feet in length, it showcases hand-planed and faired surfaces, along with hand-carved breast hook and kneeboards. Originally built as a boat, I subsequently repurposed it as a convertible bassinet for an infant, which could be transformed into a bookcase later on. This project provided an invaluable learning experience.
