More than 50,000.

You can do this!

My naps are longer these days, and walks are more of a gentle stroll. My zoomies are more of a happy shuffle, and fetching the ball has become a spectator sport for the squirrels. My fur isn't as springy as it used to be, and there's a smattering of grey around my muzzle.

Some pups might see that as a sad thing, missing the days of boundless energy. But me? I wouldn't trade these golden years for a single chew toy.

Sure, I can't chase butterflies with the same gusto I once did. But the world seems a lot sweeter when you take the time to sniff every flower. My barks might be a little quieter, but the love in my eyes speaks volumes.

Maybe I can't jump on the couch anymore, but the view from my human's lap is pretty darn good. And while my playful nips have softened to gentle nudges, the connection is deeper than ever.

There's a calmness that comes with age, a wisdom whispered by the wind through my fur. I may not be a puppy anymore, but the love, loyalty, and joy I have to offer are richer than ever. So here's to the distinguished gentlemen and gentlewomen of the dog world! May our naps be long, our treats plentiful, and our love stories with our humans never end.
