Apparently the real test of a successful custom build isn’t whether the house turns out beautiful.
It’s whether you still like each other when it’s done. 😂
And somehow… we REALLY do.
This house took just shy of a year to dream up, design, finance, build, sell and ultimately hand over to a pretty special family. There were approximately 4,782 decisions (or more), a few “what if we…” texts, probably some mild panic, plenty of problem solving and, because it’s us, a LOT of laughing along the way.
And at the end of it, we didn’t just look around and say, “Well done, team.”
We basically said, “That was fun. Wanna do it again?”
Which is a huge win if I do say so myself.
Because here’s the thing—we love beautiful homes. Obviously. We’ve made entire careers out of them. But the house means a whole lot less if, by the time you finish building it, nobody wants to sit at the same dinner table.
And we definitely still WANT to sit at the same table.
Preferably with good food. Maybe a cocktail. Definitely wildly inappropriate jokes. And at least one conversation where we solve all of the world’s problems.
So as September comes to an end, we’re celebrating one year of partnering with Custom Vision Homes and feeling especially grateful for all of the people whose blood, sweat, talent, patience and occasional tears have gone into the homes we’ve created together.
And while we’re at it, we figured we should probably introduce you to this little crew.
Designer. Builder. Realtor. Mortgage banker.
Four businesses. One team. And somewhere along the way… chosen family.
We’ve been calling ourselves the “A” Team, but we decided we may need something slightly more legitimate. 😂
