Have questions/concerns about Saturday’s auction? Here’s a list of frequently asked questions. If you’re curious about something that isn’t addressed here, drop your questions in the comments.
Q: Where and when are the auctions taking place?
A: We will have 2 auctions (Sales Floor and Basement) AT THE SAME TIME. Both start at 9:30 a.m. Our shop is located at 178 Penn Ave in Telford (make sure your GPS doesn’t send you to Souderton!) across from the Vietnam Cafe. We are by the Telford train station and borough office/police department.
Q: Can I bid in both auctions?
A: Yes, but you may want to bring a friend as the auctions will be occurring simultaneously and we don’t know which items will be sold at the exact same time.
Q: How will I know what is in each lot?
A: There is a catalog available online at Venusvintagethrift.com (QR codes will be posted around the shop) and paper copies will be available. You are welcome to inspect lots today from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. or tomorrow from 9 - 9:30 a.m. There are also walkthrough videos on our page showing many of the lots.
Q: How do I bid?
A: When you arrive you will register and receive a bidder number and a card with that number to hold up when you want to bid.
Q: Do I have to arrive at 9 a.m.? Do I have to stay until the auction ends?
A: No and no. You do not need to be there when the auction begins, and when you are finished bidding you may pay for your items, collect them and leave.
Q: Do I need to remove all paid items on Saturday?
A: No, we will be offering 2 additional pickup times, Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Some items may not be able to be removed immediately (bookcases, rugs, etc.) until the lots on/in them have been removed.
Q: Should I bring my own packing supplies?
A: Yes, if you are bidding on anything fragile/breakable be sure to bring bubble wrap or paper for wrapping. Bring boxes or crates to carry items out.
