One of my absolute favorite things to do when creating art and sculptures with metal is using the plasma cutter.

This is an example of a recent creation! 🐙✨

I need your opinion: which orientation do you prefer for my handmade octopus?

Does this make me giggle? 😄

That’s one of my favorite questions to ask when I’m creating! Sustainable art does not have to be beige, restrained, or worried about following every design rule.

It can be bright acrylic paint, a comically expressive giraffe, or a wonderfully weird creature built from scraps and forgotten objects. If it makes you smile, sparks a conversation, and brings a little joy into your home, it belongs there!

Art is allowed to be colorful, curious, playful, and just a tiny bit ridiculous. (Honestly, I highly recommend it.)

What kind of art makes you giggle?

Your scrap pile counts! ✨

A bent washer. A leftover board. A lonely button. An old gear. A cracked frame. A piece of packaging.

Before you toss it, ask: “What does this object already suggest?”

That curved metal piece might be a te****le. That strange component might be the nose of a very confident creature. (And yes, it probably has a story to tell.)

Scraps aren’t useless; they’re tiny invitations to imagine, remake, and create something joyful. What’s hiding in your pile? 👀

Please go check out some of my paintings and metal work for sale at Pita Jungle at 1001 N 3rd Ave, #4 in Phoenix. A lot less was able to be displayed than what was originally discussed. But, these will be here until probably October. They will be rotated to a different location at that time. All prices are listed on the painting (or near it). More to come, but I’m excited to see this finally come to fruition.

Meet the brand new papier-mâché robot squad! (Warning: excessive cuteness and serious attitude ahead.) These little metal-hearted wonders have officially landed in the studio, and each one brings their own magnificent personality to the table. From our sporty friend rocking the baseball jersey to the tall orange buddy flexing the number 8, the fabulous purple vibe squad member, and our absolute favorite gym-goer proudly sporting 'no leg day': they are ready to conquer the world one repurposed paper layer at a time! Upcycling has seriously never looked so fun. Reach out to Kriste for more info on how you can purchase one and bring your new mechanical best friend home!

I had almost given up on this painting last week. I tried something on the painting that didn’t pan out and I had to stop painting due to work responsibilities. I really hated how it had come out, but I fixed the parts I screwed up and now I’m satisfied. 🙃

If you’re in Chandler, don’t forget to swing by the Vision Gallery to check out the 'Unlovable' Exhibit! 🕷️🪼

I’m so honored to have three of my metal sculptures on display there through August 15th. You’ll find my giant metal spider making itself at home, along with two of my metal jellyfish.

One of those jellyfish has a pretty greasy backstory, literally! I spent tireless hours degreasing and cleaning old bike chains and sprockets to get them ready. It was a huge learning process figuring out what actually cuts through that grime, but welding those individual fragments of bike chain into something flowing and organic was so worth it.

Come see them in person:
📍 Vision Gallery
10 E Chicago St, Chandler, AZ
🗓️ Now through August 15

It’s a fantastic show featuring all kinds of 'creepy crawly' creatures reimagined by local artists. See you there!
