This space didn’t exist before, which still feels a little wild to say.

What used to be an awkward office and library is now a full primary suite with vaulted ceilings and a bathroom that feels like it was always meant to be here. Warm wood cabinetry, soft layered lighting, and just enough mid century modern influence to make it feel thoughtful but not overdone.

This is the vision, but if you want to see where we started, the before is on the next slide.

Sometimes all you need is a little bit of vision.

When I walked into this bathroom, I could immediately see the layout and how the finishes wanted to come together.

My clients already loved the warmth of their home, and that was something we knew we had to honor, not overwrite.

As a Scottsdale interior designer, I’m always looking for ways to elevate a space without losing what made people fall in love with it in the first place.

The goal was never to change everything. It was to create a bathroom that feels warm, custom, and completely theirs.

Because the best design doesn’t start from scratch, it starts with what already feels like home.

Our take on an organic modern kitchen 🤍

Aegean Awakening leans a little more modern than what we typically design at Nita & Hearth, and honestly, that is part of what made it so fun. Getting to stretch creatively while honoring our clients’ vision is always where the magic happens.

Even with the cleaner lines, you still feel that warmth we’re known for, layered textures, thoughtful details, and a space that feels lived in, not just styled.

My personal favorite? The four pendant lights. They quietly steal the show.

This kitchen is truly a dream for anyone who loves to host, gather, and make memories at home.

This is who you’re hiring.

A little girl with crooked bangs and a plastic bead necklace who used to rearrange her bedroom for fun. Who used to wander art museums and boss her Nana around while shopping at Kirkland’s.

A girl in oversized sunglasses, proudly holding a sprinkle-covered ice cream cone, already very particular about her favorite colors and how things should look.

A boy who grew up to be the calm, steady backbone of this whole thing. The one who sends the invoices, runs the numbers, and keeps the lights on so his wife can dream big for a living.

We may look small in these photos.

But the heart behind your home? It’s been growing for a long time.

When you hire Nita & Hearth, you’re not just hiring a design studio.

You’re trusting people who know what home means. Who believe it should tell your story. Who take that responsibility personally.

And we don’t take it lightly. 🤍

We’re in Tempe City Lifestyle.

The March Home Issue features Nita & Hearth and our approach to designing before the walls exist. Before concrete is poured. When intention carries the most weight and collaboration changes everything.

This business was built on a clear belief. Homes should reflect the people who live in them. When architects, builders, and designers are aligned from the very beginning, a home doesn’t just look beautiful. It feels honest. It feels lived in before life even begins there.

We chose Tempe as our home base because it carries both history and hope. The ranch style homes. The neighborhoods where families have stayed for decades. The stories layered into original brick and worn wood. And the skyline rising around Tempe Town Lake. A growing city stretching upward while generations remain rooted. That balance moves me. It mirrors exactly how we design. Honoring what came before while thoughtfully shaping what comes next.

We are so grateful to Ben Crognale of Echo Real Estate for trusting us to feature , a beautiful Scottsdale spec home that embodies this process. To my designer Cameron Clark, who works tirelessly beside me and pours so much heart into every detail. To my husband Camden, my better half, who runs the operational side of this business and steadies the vision. And to Summer, one of my best friends, who captured this project and our branding so beautifully behind the lens.

Being featured in this issue is an incredible milestone for our team and a reflection of the collaboration behind every project we take on.

Tempe, we are committed to building something meaningful here. For the families who have been here for generations and for the ones just arriving. We’re just getting started🤎
