So many people ask me why I named my business Nita & Hearth.
I come from a long line of strong women, and my maternal great grandmother was one of the most influential parts of my childhood. She grew up picking cotton and eventually settled in Fort Thomas, Arizona with her family after leaving Oklahoma. They were on their way to California to pick fruit when they became stranded in Arizona and chose to build a life there instead.
The women in my family made countless sacrifices so future generations could have more than they did. Their resilience, strength, and deep sense of home shaped the way I see the world today.
Nita & Hearth was born from that legacy.
I started this business not only to continue the story of the women who came before me, but to help others create homes that hold meaning, memories, and a sense of belonging. I believe our homes should reflect who we are, where we come from, and the stories we want to pass down.
Every space tells a story. Mine began with them.
