Who am I?
Hi I'm Michael, The creator of Rotten To The Core.
I am a little start up that specialized in 3D printed stencils for our local parks an am looking to build out to people inside an outside of our state Terre Haute. So far we are looking for shops to work with us to bring stencils to more people, so if you have a shop you would like to have there own custom stencils send them our way.
I have bin doing prints for people for about 6 months an learned a lot from messing around with my printer an have gotten confident enough from trial runs with our locals to start making more stencils for more people
We can make just about any kind of stencil you can imagine be it an image you would like created into a stencil or you want a custom stencil I can make it for you.
Along with Stencils I can print other products such as Wall Mounts with screw holes or without screw hole if you want to hang your set without needing to drill into your walls if that is a concern you are having.
Currently as it stands now I run this out of my house out of my pocket an am only running one printer. Depending on how this goes an if revenue is in the green I am looking to buy more then just one printer the get prints out faster. As of now if orders are high an demand are not to intense printing out a few at a time should not take a crazy amount of time to get to a buyer.
As it stands now shipping is not much of an option when it comes to delivery. Most if not all are delivered by hand to an from our local parks or Skate event whenever I am able to attend them. (I do work weekends so getting them out for our events are a bit of a challenge but are trying to find solutions to that problem.)
(Below are our prices Print Times an recommendations for out prints to give you a heads up on what to expect)
-What is it made out of-
All the prints are printed in PLA White plastic. Very strong but if put under super heated areas can melt an get ruined. So try to avoid keeping prints exposed to the sun for long periods of time.
They Tend to start melting an bending around 100°F to 150°F
-What programs do we work with-
If you are looking to get a printer and like the quality an are curious what I run this is the part for you
The printer I the is a Voxelab Aquila C2 Printer with a 0.4mm Nozzle with a Maximum print Volume of 220*220*250mm and a print precision of ±0.2 mm
The program I use is a mix of Tinker CAD, Ultimaker Cura, Photoshop and Convertio
-Print Time-
As we continue to improve out print files these times can very.
Stencil Prints can take up to 1 hour to 2 hours depending on the designs size you would like.
Wall Mount Prints can very from 4 to 8 hours depending on how many you would like.
-Our measurements-
Stencils printed from my printer can go up to a max of 7 inch by 7 inch.
A pretty good size for most decks.
-Pricing-
(Note these all include editing, drawing, and printing without any extra cost)
Stencils from a picture you provide - 5$
Stencils from Scratch - 10$
Stencils from an already existing print file we have on hand ( When we get around the collecting an if people who order from use are ok with other people using it) - 7$
Stencils Reping out local skatepark Voorhees Skate park - 2$
Wall Mounts - 15$ (For two wall mounts Both Screwed an non Screwed)
- Breaks an repairs -
In the event that your wall mount manages to become damaged or has fallen from the adhesive you used while using the non screwed model. Please send use a photo of the damaged product an we will print you a replacement free of charge. Things break sometimes an things sometimes just happen. These are plastic after all an high falls while holding a board up can tend to snap the arms on the mounts.
I have had it happen my self while setting different methods of adhesive types. Some hole great then some have fallen having me reprint it an find better solutions.
-Recommendations for Wall Mounts-
I my self have found that using an adhesive that is rated for anything over 15 Pounds to work great. Just make sure you do not mount your deck before the adhesive has fully settled to ensure your deck does not fall. I my self have bin woken by the sound of a falling deck a hand full of times just to realize I did not let it settle before mounting the board.
