Dear Friends,
We are putting the final binding on this crazy quilt of a life we live! We’ve been piecing this cornerstone of our existence here at Teton Patchworks since 2004 when we hosted our first retreat, but now, we felt like we have just run out of bobbin thread. Our template has provided the fabric for many new and wonderful relationships, and we have been interfacing with some of the finest people in the West – your backing has been so appreciated all these years. We will stash many delightful memories when we drop our feed dogs for the last time on April 30, 2022.
We have been batting around several notions for months, it seams, and most border on having more free motion ahead; nothing too pressing, just serging forward and staying on point. We are still ironing out some of the more material elements of our future foundation but wanted to give you plenty of heads up so you can locate a new retreat site before all their available dates get blocked out.
You probably think we’ve turned to the dark side and if you needle us a little, it’s probably in order for the tension this news may be causing. Some of you may be fit to be tied. And, that’s ok, we’ll take it with a grain of salt without going into a negative space.
One alternate retreat setting you should consider is Maple Mountain Quilt Retreat. The owner has been coming to TPQR for over ten years so you will find a lot of familiar ideas and the high quality you expect in what they have to offer. When you call, be sure to tell them you retreated at TPQR and they’ll have a special offer waiting just for you. We recommend these folks – hands down (though we may have a little bias!)
Also, check out The Quilt Idaho - another fine retreat destination. They are super friendly and in tune with what a quilt retreat is all about! Find them at https://www.quiltidaho.com
With all sincerity, thank you all for so many wonderful years. Now, it’s time to kick back with a sandwich and a jelly roll. We hope you’ll come and visit!
All the best,
Lea & Jim
