Before a single piece is fired, nothing goes to waste.

This is the drying rack at the factory where Ariane porcelain is made — bowls in the green and bisque stage, before glaze, before the kiln. At this stage, 100% of the clay is reclaimed. Trimmings, rejects, the pieces that don’t make the cut: all of it goes back into the body and starts again.

It’s how the line has run since day one — reduce, reuse, then fire. The porcelain that reaches your pass is what’s left after everything that could be reused already was.

No bone ash. Certified.

Bone china is made with bone ash — Ariane isn’t. It’s porcelain, certified 100% vegetarian by the Vegetarian Society of the UK, and halal certified by the Halal Committee, Mumbai.

For a lot of kitchens that’s not a nice-to-have, it’s a spec. Vegetarian and vegan concepts, halal programs and banquet catering — the question of what the plate is actually made from comes up, and this answers it before it’s asked.

Same porcelain, same durability, same rolled edge. Just made without anything you’d have to explain to a guest.

Congratulations to Chef Rishi Kumar — our Ariane chef ambassador at Mariela — named one of Food & Wine’s 2026 Best New Chefs.

It’s one of the most watched honors in American dining, 38 years running. Rishi earned it alongside Zubair Mohajir for their work at Mirra in Chicago, Mariela’s sister restaurant — where the two share the honor and the cover of the restaurant issue, braiding Indian and Mexican cooking into one menu: chaas aguachile, barbacoa biryani, dishes that trace shared ingredients and spice routes across two traditions. We’re proud to have Rishi in the Ariane family, and to be part of his line at Mariela.

Watching a chef this thoughtful get his moment on a national stage is the best part of what we do — the plate is only ever as good as the person behind it.

When Sanjh opened in Dallas, the table had to live up to the food.

Sanjh reimagines thousands of years of Indian culinary heritage through modern technique — soulful classics and inventive plates, served as understated luxury. “Consistent” is easy to say and hard to deliver in tableware. The problem usually isn’t the first order — it’s the reorder that comes back a slightly different white, so now your tables don’t match.

We control the whole line, clay to kiln, which is why we can hold stock in North America and stand behind an edge-chip warranty. It’s the unglamorous part of why the plate lasts.
