Baking soda is often treated like a “deep clean” solution—but in real carpet care, it only works at the surface level.
In NYC homes, heavy application can push fine particles deep into carpet fibers and even the backing. Instead of fully removing dirt or odors, it can leave behind a residue that’s difficult to extract with regular vacuuming.
Over time, that residue may attract more dust and make carpets look dull faster.
Real deep cleaning requires full extraction—not powder masking.
