Texture, pattern, layering and textiles does a lot of the talking in this dining room. The antique table and reupholstered chairs anchors it all, proof that old and new can sit at the same table.

A former grim basement with cinderblock walls and concrete slab is transformed into a fresh-faced, English garden-inspired laundry room...

A farmhouse sink and café curtains create cottage charm, cabinetry is elevated by English brass hardware from Armac Martin, and perhaps the most charming, yet utilitarian, element in the laundry room is the ceiling mounted drying rack, lending an outdoor garden vibe while providing the perfect place to hang delicate laundered garments.

Old homes are good at creating problems, but that’s precisely why we love them. The windows in the living room at the were the farthest thing from being centered on the wall. The solution? Trick the eye by creating three stacks of curtain panels to hide the asymmetry.

We’re creating a primary bathroom from a smallish space. With just one window, we needed to make it light and bright. Texture and pattern come in through tile and wallpaper, warmth through a mix of natural walnut and painted cabinetry. All while honoring the architectural heritage of this 1800s home. Much more to come as we touch on every room, floor, and expand this beautiful property.
