The moment months of planning arrive… in custom beams!

Every detail—down to the inch—was planned long before they rolled in. That’s the part most people don’t see: the months of sketches, structure meetings, and careful coordination that make moments like this look effortless.

From plan to reality, every detail tells the story.

Ever walk into your bedroom and think it’s almost there but still missing that finished feel? These are my go-to design must-haves that take a bedroom from basic to a true retreat:

1️⃣ 𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙤𝙣𝙚
2️⃣ 𝘼 𝙇𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙚𝙙
3️⃣ 𝘼 𝙎𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚

💡 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩: It’s not about having more stuff, it’s about layering with purpose.

Design tip: Paint colors come last, not first.

Before the painters ever pick up a paintbrush, framing, electrical, plumbing, and cabinetry all need to be finalized. Why? Because paint should complement the overall design, not dictate it.”

One of my favorite stages of interior design is the trim stage—but before the trim carpenter even begins, there’s a tremendous amount of prep work. Every item in this bathroom was carefully chosen early in the process, with its exact placement mapped out in the interior elevations. That way, there’s no guesswork (or regrets) later on.

This concept board isn’t just pretty inspiration—it’s a roadmap. From the vanity and sconces to the smallest details, everything has intention. Because the first thing you see walking into a bathroom should be beauty—not the potty. 😉

Remodeling is messy.

Like… really messy.

It’s dust that finds its way into rooms you swear were sealed off.

It’s floors you can’t walk on, outlets that aren’t live, and boxes of light fixtures living where your dining table used to be.

It’s the sound of saws in the morning and decisions you didn’t think you’d have to make—like exactly where the outlet for your toaster should go.

But here’s the thing about mess—it means progress.

Every wire, every tile, every speck of drywall dust is one step closer to the space you’ve been dreaming about.

And when it’s done? You’ll hardly remember what it was like to wash your dishes in the bathroom sink. (Almost. 😉)

There are no words. Just grief. Just prayer. Just hearts, aching for the lives lost in the Texas floods. May God hold you close, and may you feel the prayers of so many lifting you up. Lord, lay your arms around all of the families of the missing.

Art doesn’t stand alone—what surrounds it matters just as much.

Every object, every texture, every line nearby is placed with intention to elevate the piece and the space around it.
A simple object, a quiet sectional sofa, the way light hits a frame—all of it is part of the story.
We design with this in mind—because art is more than a focal point. It’s a conversation with the room.

When form, function, and feeling align, the whole space sings.

The part they don’t show you on HGTV: standing in a sea of studs, squinting at your cabinet plans, and praying you didn’t miss a single inch. 😂

This stage feels chaotic — I get it.
You’re staring at 2x4s thinking,
"Will my kitchen even fit in here?"
"Is that where the fridge goes?"
"Wait... was the island supposed to be centered??"

Take a deep breath.
This is exactly why a detailed cabinet plan matters before the drywall goes up.
Every drawer, shelf, and cozy coffee bar is mapped out now — so you’re not making expensive changes later.

New construction doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.
You're building a home that’s going to hold pancakes on Saturday mornings, late-night talks over wine, and kids sneaking cookies when they think you’re not looking. 🍪💛
And it all starts right here!

You know that feeling when you finally sink into your favorite spot after a long day—the one that seems to understand you better than most people? That’s the magic of a well-placed chaise lounge. It’s more than furniture—it’s an invitation. To breathe. To linger. To be.

But here’s the thing—it’s not just by chance. The way this space feels is all about thoughtful planning. The perfect distance from the window to catch the afternoon light. The gentle flow of drapery that softens the edges. Every detail is considered, creating a corner that’s both effortless and intentional.

Because great design isn’t just about how a space looks—it’s about how it feels. And sometimes, it feels like exhaling. 💫

A new home is filled with endless decisions—from tile patterns to wall colors—and let’s be honest, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the sea of shiny, new everything. But sometimes, it’s the unexpected, imperfect pieces that bring the most soul to a space.
Case in point: this stunning antique dresser we’re transforming into a custom powder bath vanity. 💫 The worn edges, and timeworn charm tell a story no factory-finished cabinet ever could. And when paired with a specialty sink and a charcoal faucet? The contrast is pure magic.
Why does this matter when you’re building new?
Because in a freshly built home, it’s easy for everything to feel… well, new. But weaving in a piece with history adds instant character and makes your home feel like it’s been curated over time.
👉 So if you’re in the middle of selections and feeling like your new build needs something to make it feel more you, consider mixing in a piece with a past. It might just become the most talked-about corner of your home.
