You may know by now that cultivating an inclusive space & community is an important part of what we do here at Fuzzy Goat, something we hope we extend well past a single month of the year.

That being said, it's still important to us to take the chance to loudly celebrate Pride Month, in case someone needs the extra opportunity to hear that they're welcome here. We never want to pass that up.

That’s why we’re highlighting some of the LGBTQ+ makers and the signs of support (from pins to stitch stoppers) we carry with us year round.

So many of those LGBTQ+ makers are ones we found while searching for creators to put in our Y'all Means All curated boxes. We ended up loving their creations so much we had to carry them in the shop.

Like The Peach Fuzz who makes our Notions Trays and Sardine Notion Boxes, indie dyer Ryan Yarn who you already know we 💕, or Gunner & Lux, the father-daughter team who make the most precious Bag Charms & Charm Necklaces.

Are you brave enough to try to knit a sweater in just 4 days? Sound crazy?

This years pattern is Watermark, in either Cardi or pullover & uses a DK or Sport weight - preferably with some cotton content since this is a great summery project ☀️

Here’s our yarn picks👇
🧶 Copper Corgi Shoreline Silk, a Sport (ish) that knits like a light DK, 100% Silk Noil
🧶 Zooey, Sport weight, 60% Cotton, 40% Linen
🧶 29 Bridges Non-Superwash DK, 100% merino wool but non-superwash so a great wool option
🧶 Skipper, Sport weight, 100% Tanguis cotton

From Marie Greene: 2026 marks ten years for the 4 Day Knitalong, an exuberant annual knitting event that has brought thousands of knitters — from around the world — together in for the month of July. Despite the name, the knitalong has never really been about knitting a whole sweater in 4 days (although if you’re knitting the smaller sizes, you absolutely can). What it’s really about is discovering for yourself that knitting a sweater doesn’t have to take a year. Or even a few months.

Cast on starts July 1!

Sweaters together ( no matter the weather) LIVE with Melissa

If you’ve been around for a while you’ll know we consider Pride Month to be a year round event.

That doesn’t stop us from keeping up with Design Maven Madelyn’s favorite tradition every June of putting up our 🌈 yarn windows, so that we can be a little extra loud.

Being located in a small Southern town, it can feel daunting to stand up for what we believe in, but we hope our windows are a small sign to our community that this is a place that stands for equality, where everyone knows they’ll be welcomed 💕

Happy Pride Month to all 🏳️‍🌈 We recognize that it’s equal parts celebration and resistance.

We're welcoming Red Truck Fiber Co. to Fuzzy Goat this weekend! 📚🧶
Alan dyes yarn the way some of us read — by diving completely into a story and not coming up for air. Every colorway from his Charlottesville, Virginia studio starts with a book: fantasy worlds, beloved children's classics, sci-fi futures. The colors don't just reference the stories. They feel like them.
When our customer Kim told us about him, we understood immediately. Turns out a shop run by someone with an English Ph.D. and Madelyn with a literature degree was always going to end up with book-inspired yarn on the shelves. Some things are just inevitable.
Alan's yarn will be here for a limited time — in the shop and online. He's got 24K Facebook followers and 18K on Instagram for a reason. Come see what all the reading is about.

Friend of the shop Dienna kitted out her Re-Designed Leather Project Bag and we couldn’t be more in love 💕 We just needed to show you.

She’s the reason we got this gorgeous new Dark Cherry color. It even matches her sparkly wine colored WIP!

Plus we just restocked a pile of bags from Re-Designed 💼

This is our LAST weekend with our KnitWise Fibers Takeover 🧶🧶 We’ll be so sad to see it all go! Come by and take home a skein (or two) before we pack it all back up & send it on home next week 📦

We loved our recent experiment with felting (on purpose 😉) so much that we wanted to make it easy for you to try it too, so we kitted up these Felted Nesting Bowl Kits with our Wooldorf Bulky 🧶

Knit them up - it’ll look like you made malformed hats - toss them in the wash, and watch the felting magic happen ✨

The mohair content gives this yarn just enough grip to felt reliably; the extrafine merino keeps it soft and beautiful after.

We include the pattern we used for these bowls as well!
