I’m also offering a “Make your own Chef/Hunting knife class” this class is 1 on 1 $400 2 student class $600 and will take 8 hours complete or less. The knife making class will cover Bladesmithing, Heat Treating, Wood dying, Wood Stabilizing, and Resin Casting.

Dez with his first blacksmiths hammer! He has been coming a few months now and is well beyond our basics/foundations program. He has made a couple knives, chisels, and a few punches at this point and has moved into our intermediate courses. A blacksmith needs many different specialized hammers for different jobs. This is a rounding hammer. One side is round and moves metal dynamically, the other is flat to smooth out hammer marks from forging.

We are always trying to enhance our customer experience. Not only will there be a menu change, but we are bringing in higher quality steel, more knife customization options, and new fit and finish options to the new Forge your own knife class.

Our students who are 10-12 weeks into their blacksmithing journey have completed their basics program and have graduated to intermediate skills. They are currently making their own forging hammers to use in class and at home. After completion we will carve handles from hickory blanks with draw knives and spoke shaves like old woodwrights. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If another day would work for you that Im currently not offering please comment below I’m open to expanding hours for this class as I thoroughly enjoy it myself!

This isn’t just a blacksmithing class. We will be doing woodworking, welding, metal casting, leather working, and resin casting.

We are located in Thonotosassa and are a direct pay provider.
