Holes in my fingers!
During the first weeks of Covid19 mania you guys know how we couldn’t find toilet paper, of all things. But next when masks became one of our urgent needs, those too became rare or unaffordable. My close family and friends needed these for their jobs and daily activities so I bought some fabric, needle and thread and went to work so to speak. While I finished a mask for one of the family one evening a visitor asked would I make one for him. I held up my sore, needle worn fingers and said right now thats about $50 and we joked about it. But it got us to thinking that maybe a sewing machine would work out at the right price.
Another friend produced an unused machine from her spare room and here we are nearly 5 months later with more than we can keep up with, and a shoestring budget business.
My business idea grew from the need from crafts people to have an affordable brick and mortar location with the option of it becoming a home base for their products. There is no space or lot fee or rental. Only a 90 day agreement that provides everyone with that location, an online presence and online sales. You can’t get any better. Being disabled, I can’t drive to flea-markets with all of my goods and pay a space rental then depend on the maybe and maybe not’s for my sales profit after all that.
