Delivered this incredible antique canoe yesterday to its new home at the lake — and honestly, it looks like it was always meant to be here.

We love finding pieces with history and helping them become part of someone else’s story.

Antique French door knocker… reimagined ✨

Who says it has to stay on a door? We love turning unexpected pieces into functional details — like this as a statement towel hook in a powder room.

If you think you don’t have space for antiques, think again… you just need a little creativity 😉

Come see us — Grant has ideas for days.

Just a little peek behind the scenes… 🚐✨
This is what a successful treasure hunt looks like.

We’re constantly out sourcing — digging through barns, estates, and forgotten spaces — to bring in one-of-a-kind pieces you won’t find anywhere else. And the best part? New items are hitting the showroom every single week.

If you haven’t stopped in lately, you haven’t seen what’s new 😉

Just brought these stunning antique Art Deco doors into the showroom—and they’re even more impressive in person.

Each one stands 9’ tall × 23” wide, with the kind of detail and craftsmanship you just don’t see anymore.

Use them as doors… or let them become something entirely new—wall art, a headboard, a room divider, or a one-of-a-kind statement piece.

Not sure how to bring your vision to life? That’s our favorite part—come talk to us.

We’re here until 4 PM today

There’s something special about bringing old places back to life.

If you’ve ever visited Tallulah 1882, you’ve felt it — a once-forgotten train depot turned into a space filled with good coffee, good food, and a whole lot of character.

That same vision lives just a few miles away at Metropolitan Artifacts & Antiques.

What was once a 1939 Ford dealership is slowly being transformed into something just as meaningful — a place where history, craftsmanship, and creativity come together. A space that’s becoming its own kind of destination here in North Georgia.

Because for us, it’s never just been about restoring buildings…

It’s about seeing potential where others might not.
And that doesn’t stop with the walls.

Inside Metropolitan Artifacts, you’ll find antique doors, hardware, lighting, architectural pieces, and one-of-a-kind finds — many thoughtfully repurposed by Grant Potter, the visionary behind both spaces. Pieces that don’t just decorate a home… they tell a story.

If you love the way Tallulah 1882 feels, there’s a good chance you’ll find something at Metropolitan Artifacts & Antiques that brings that same character into your own home.

And the best part? There’s always something new to discover — or something old, reimagined in a whole new way.

✨ Now open with new hours:
Thursday – Sunday | 10AM – 4PM

Come make a day of it.

Coffee, a little exploring… and maybe finding something your home didn’t know it was missing.

Some places aren’t just opened… they’re brought back to life.

If you love Tallulah 1882, come experience what we’re building at Metropolitan Artifacts & Antiques.
