October 17 - 19, 2025

Be sure to mark your calendars for the 96th Annual Helldorado Days held October 17-19, 2025 in the legendary town of Tombstone, Arizona. This event will be packed with entertainment for all, including street performances, gunfight re-enactments, the Rose Tree Museum Reunion Party and Proclamation for this year’s Parade Grand Marshall and, of course, the famous Helldorado Days Parade on Sunday.
Immerse yourself in this historic town’s past where locals and visitors alike dress in period clothing, where the air is filled with the sights and sounds of old west gunfights and where clip-clopping horses and stagecoaches are everywhere. Happy March 16th Everyone. On this day in 1931, the beautiful saguaro blossom was officially adopted as Arizona’s state flower. When in blossom, this flower is pollinated by a variety of critters such as birds, bats and insects turning the bulb of the flower into fruit which falls to the ground to be consumed by critters such as desert tortoises, coyotes, javelina, rabbits and other desert dwelling creatures.

Hi everyone, this is Kim from Allen Street Antiques in Tombstone, Arizona. Part of the fun of collecting antiques to me is not only the history, but also the way you can upcycle an old piece when it seems to have lost its purpose. Of course, I do not support repurposing good quality antiques, but sometimes it‘s necessary to make a piece worthy in some way again. Take for example antique glass insulators. Sure you can hang them on your fence or set them on a table and they look great, but you can also do something else with them. After snooping around on the Internet, I found a great way to turn them into adorable candleholders. Here’s all I needed:

Glass Insulator
Rusty Coil Bed Spring
Dried Raffia
Ribbon and Glue
Flame LED or Natural Tea Light Candle

To make, I simply glued the ribbon around the open part of the insulator, tied raffia around it, placed the insulator in the coil bed spring and added a tea light candle. And there you have it. Gorgeous, right?
