I did a sneak peek debut of this Bad Bear (see what I did there? 😃) at O&C in Chicago at the beginning of June and it sold out IMMEDIATELY 😃😃😃 I also got to have a ton of great convos with horror fans about how fantastic this movie was.

I did a deep dive for the scent, taking my inspiration from the grisly tale that Nikki told when she was feeling, um, a little off? 😬

This warm, delish gingerbread spice candle will lull you into thinking, sure - I made a GREAT choice with my one wish! What’s the problem… 😱

If you’re brave enough to give this one a break (again - I’m on fire!) , it’s available in the online shop & I will have a bunch at Oddities & Curiosities Expo in Buffalo in August!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time Allentown Art Festival today and made it out just before the skies opened up 😬 Hope all there got everything covered and sustained no damage! I give you all so much credit as outdoor shows are very challenging & unpredictable.

That said, wanted to share my haul and encourage everyone to please shop local, small, handmade artisans whenever & wherever you can!!!

And with that, The Smell of Fear is on a summertime hiatus!

The website is still available & updated with lot of fun stuff including things like my Waxadermy melts & my Dean Wi******er inspired Son of a Bitch candle. But no shows or events until the Buffalo Oddities & Curiosities at the beginning of August.

As a professor by day and a creepy candle maker by night (and weekends & holidays) it’s easy to get burnt out. After the last holiday season, I was almost ready to throw in the towel as I’d done a LOT but after a little winter break and getting back into the swing this spring, I realized I just need to pace myself a bit better!

Going forward, website stays up and I’ll be doing one show per month: Oddities & Curiosities Buffalo at the beginning of August, New England Oddities in Portland, ME in September, and Buffalo Horror Garage Sale in October.

Hoping to add 1 or 2 holiday shows in November/December so stay tuned!

Bonus: anyone know the historic significance or what icon is associated with this landmark? I’ll send a diffuser bundle to the first person that answers correctly 😃

I have an eclectic mix of candles for this weekend! Dean Wi******er? Check! Vincent Price? Absolutely! My new Waxadermy melts? You betcha! Some Jack Skellington and Devil’s Footprints candles? Yes! New Yeti, Victorian Parlor, and some One Wish Willow candles? YAAAAAASSSSSSSS!

Just li’l Gil helping me pack for in Chicago 😍 Ok really he hates when I leave so he’s trying his darnedest to keep me from getting this done and while I would totally just zip him up and take him with, alas, I cannot.

So if his plans are foiled and I actually do get packed - I hope to see you in the Windy City this weekend!!!
