Did you know that “knocking on wood” actually comes from the belief that every tree is inhabited by a spirit known as a Hamadryad or Dryad?
The action of knocking was practiced by ancient priests to immediately summon this spirit to aid the Priest or Priestess in order to ward off evil or fulfill a wish.

Sorry folks Kansas weather is strange this year and my physical location is closed tomorrow. I will be adding some items online- maybe tomorrow. I have lots of amazing pieces that are looking for new homes. Including some dragon eggs in multiple material, some amazing quality black tourmaline, some ocean jasper pieces and more!

The Owls Nest’s will be closed this Tuesday, February 18th due to the incoming weather. ❄️

I spent two hours today stocking and arranging things, I filled the cases up with so many beautiful stones and jewelry. Including a sunflower trio with yellows, whites and greys (I bought this piece to keep but I can't keep everything pretty lol), a super druzy skull, backbone moonstone, malachite, beautiful purple and green fluorite, crazy lace, ocean Jasper, black and pink flower agate and so much more. Beautiful blue moon last night I set out some intention water, new bracelets that will be hitting the booth this week and my personal wears for the month- white moonstone and black onyx with evil eye. I cleanse my prized moldavite bracelet from my bestie Denique Vintage Designs every full moon because it is so powerful I can only keep it in the house, I have issues wearing it for long periods of time and it giving me headaches-it is an amazing Crystal with some gigantic powers.

August's full moon was the first of four supermoons this year.
