Meet Michelle 🤍

If you've visited Home at Last, there's a good chance Michelle was one of the first people to welcome you through the door.

As part of our sales team, she helps customers navigate everything from custom furniture and fabric selections to finding just the right finishing touches for their homes.

But one of Michelle's greatest talents is something that's harder to put on a job description: she has an incredible ability to anticipate what needs to happen before anyone asks.

Whether she's creating tags so clients know exactly which seat cushion is on a particular given sofa, preparing for an upcoming shipment arrival or jumping in to help wherever she's needed, Michelle is always thinking one step ahead.

She's also our resident faux floral expert. Most of the arrangements you see throughout the store started in Michelle's hands. She has a gift for taking individual stems and creating something that feels natural, balanced, and effortlessly beautiful. When we're styling a client's home and need florals arranged, she's our girl.

And while she's known for making things beautiful, she's equally willing to do the heavy lifting. You'll find her helping unload trucks, moving furniture, unpacking boxes and work alongside our delivery teams whenever an extra set of hands is needed. And somehow she always manages to look effortlessly stylish while doing it.

She's resourceful, creative and we are ever so grateful for the care she gives this store and the people who walk in its doors.

Make sure you say hi to Michelle next time you pop in!

Meet Melissa 🤍

If you've ever walked through our store and thought, "Everything just works together," you can thank Melissa.

As our buyer, Melissa is constantly behind the scenes sourcing new products, following trends, working with vendors, placing orders and making sure the store stays fresh, inspiring, and uniquely Home at Last.

In fact, she was the first one to tell us swans were making a comeback. (And, as usual, she was right.)

Melissa has an incredible eye for design and detail. She's the person who will move a display, step back, move it again, adjust one more thing, and somehow make the whole space feel better.

She's equally talented when it comes to furniture and upholstery. Need to know how many cushions a sofa should have? Which pillow size works best? What color welt will tie everything together? Melissa already has an answer. She's the kind of person who can recognize fabrics by name and estimate pillow sizes at a glance.

While you may not see Melissa on the sales floor very often, her fingerprints are all over the store. She's one of the people responsible for making sure there's always something new to discover, and that every detail feels intentional.

Her talent, creativity, and dedication help make Home at Last what it is, and we're incredibly lucky to have her on our team.

The Anderson Home Reveal

A few weeks before her oldest daughter's wedding, Lisa reached out with a vision. Their house was beautiful. It was loved and had been the backdrop for many memories. But with wedding photos planned throughout the home and loved ones gathering for rehearsal dinner, it felt incomplete. The Anderson’s wanted an inviting, warm home, truly reflective of their family.

We reimagined rooms around pieces that already held meaning. We brought in a new sideboard and dining chairs where family would gather. Rugs that softened and grounded or made a statement. Layers of texture and decor.

The entry was given new life. The patio became an extension of the home, ready for conversations and laughter that lingers. We looked for opportunities to create coziness and a sense of belonging.

One of our favorite moments came while selecting artwork. Lisa was drawn to "blurry landscapes." We laughed at the perfect description. And it will probably forever be part of our design vocabulary. We took her direction, curating artwork that ultimately became custom-sized, custom-framed and created intentionally for her home.
What made this project especially meaningful was Lisa’s trust, allowing us to move quickly and making this one of the fastest project turnarounds and largest installations we've completed.

It was never really about furnishings, but about creating a home that felt worthy of life's biggest celebrations.

After reveal day, this message reminded us exactly why we do what we do:
"Our house feels like a home. And we love it. Everyone that has walked in has been in awe."

The wedding will become a treasured memory. The photographs will be framed. The rehearsal dinner will become a story told for years to come. But long after the wedding has passed, this home will remain an anchor in those memories.

It will welcome. It will host. Holidays. Celebrations. Quiet mornings and ordinary evenings. Continuing to tell the story of the people who live within its walls and giving them a soft place to land at the end of the day.

And that's our favorite part.

Lisa, thank you for trusting us with your home and your vision. We’re honored to have played a small part in such a meaningful season for your family.

Things we would grab if we were hosting a USA watch party tonight: 🇺🇸

Around here, we believe any excuse to gather with friends and family is a good one.

Tonight’s soccer game may be the reason, but we are here for all things summer hosting. From red white and blue accents to serving pieces and whimsy festive touches, we are loving all the Americana inspired pieces making their way through the store right now.

A little glimpse into The Anderson Home. 🤍

This house already had everything it needed to be beautiful. It just needed the layers: the warmth, the texture and the personal touches to truly feel like home.

We can't wait to share the full reveal.
More coming soon.
