Knoxville native Dale Dickey was thrilled when her "Widow’s Bay" co-star Kate O’Flynn won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. The two shared a hug right before O’Flynn took the stage to accept her award.

That’s despite the fact that Dickey was up against O’Flynn in the same category. It was Dickey’s first-ever Emmy nomination.

And when 10News caught up with her ahead of the ceremony Monday night, she could not have been more grateful for the entire journey leading up to the event.
