Here’s something I recently finished. I made it for my sister Rose because she likes roses and butterflies. A patinated blue butterfly articulated with brass filigree and tiny gears perches on a ruffled red bloom. I balanced precise metalwork with soft fields of magenta, gold, teal and lavender around the scarlet center. Close inspection reveals small details like rivet patterns, enamelled buttons and a tiny spiral cog. It’s available as an art print and on a yoga mat if you want to see it up close.
