💌 Love Letter to August ❤️
Nothing hits like August in Northern Michigan.
I am an October girl through and through but my summer loving blood thrives in August.
The end of summer/ beginning of fall holds the perfect temperature weather and honestly the BEST local flowers of the whole season, in my opinion!
August was good to us. SO SO SO incredibly good to us.
It was filled with an insane amount of beauty, the brightest flowers, the best helpers and the world's most incredible brides!!!
It's probably some of the exhaustion talking but I am incredibly emotional for just how special August really was.
We had the BEST brides. They all put their trust in us and let us do our thing. Each and every one of them holds a special place in my heart for their genuine kindness and the love they showed us. Plus all of their guests were just the coolest, kindest people.
We got to work at venues that were new to us, our regulars and some we haven't been to in some time.
The vendor teams were extraordinary. Their hard work and kindness made the days seamless and chill.
I even got to have my sister as my assistant for a weekend! Making memories with her is always priceless, and I wish I could have her here every day.
My partner John deserves an award for all he does for myself and the business. I really couldn't, and wouldn't want to do this without him.
The fun isn't over yet. We got another fun wedding I have been looking forward to for our girl E this weekend along with just a couple more to cap off October and our 2026 season.
I love this life and I am so incredibly blessed to be able to create flower art for special moments.

☀️ 🎃 Summerween anyone?!
I literally woke up thinking about these flowers from last year.
I just can't get over the dimensional palette that we used adding the pinks to brighten up this fall palette.
I'm a fall girl through and through but definitely almost more of a summer girl.
That's why I love August in Northern Michigan it's the last of summer on the brink of fall.

The lakes hold an endless amount of beauty, memories and stories like an everlasting muse and time capsule.
L&D wanted their day to feel like a "day at the beach" and that's exactly how it felt.

Today is my one year anniversary of becoming an accredited member of the American Institute of Floral Designers!!
The American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) is the floral industry’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to establishing, maintaining, and recognizing the highest standards of professional floral design.

AIFD focuses on advancing floral design as a respected art form through education, service, and leadership.
They hold educational events like their National Symposium and administer the internationally recognized Certified Floral Designer (CFD) and AIFD designation. To earn the CFD/ AIFD credentials you must pass their extensive PFDE (professional florist design evaluation) fulfilling rigid qualifications and demonstrating advanced professional ability during an intense accreditation evaluation program. If you score above a certain level you are invited to become an accredited member of the American Institute of Floral Designers and wear the credentials of AIFD.
With nearly 1,300 members worldwide and some of the best designers in the world, dedicated to counting education and advancing floral design as a true art form, I still can't believe I get to call myself one of them.
For a goal I never thought I would never be crazy enough to even shoot for ... I passed on the first try. Proving to myself I can be more than I limit myself to and that I can roll with the big dogs. 😘
