A new yarn base has landed at Woolly Headed Ideas. 🧶

Meet my new 50/50 BFL + Corriedale. This one is made for projects that are meant to be lived in. Strong, durable, and with the kind of structure that makes it a great choice for hard-wearing sweaters and other everyday knits. And, importantly, it has good resistance to pilling.

I'll be bringing this new base, along with plenty of other yarns, to Do Ewe Knit tomorrow for a trunk show 10am-2pm! Sweater quantities available so stock up for sweater weather!

Fresh from Leaping Dog & Sleeping Cat Art Studios the first batch of Halloween flasks inspired by ClayShare. They are so cute! I was worried because they were looking pretty, well, awful when I finished glazing them. They were so bad I almost didn’t place them on the shelf for the studio to fire for me. I am sooooo glad I didn’t listen to me. I also love how these garden stakes turned out. Way late in the season but they will be good for next year.

Barn Yarn is now Woolly Headed Ideas.
While the name has changed, the heart of what I make has not. You’ll still find the same thoughtfully hand-dyed yarn you know and love, along with patterns and other carefully made pieces inspired by color, process, and creativity.
This new name gives space for ideas to grow—on the needles, the hook, and beyond. Thank you for being part of the journey. I’m so excited to share what’s next.
