I SAW You

Finished this 2-person saw for a customer. Estimating this saw is over a hundred years old based upon the pitting of the metal, age of the wood handle and the medallion. After sandblasting the saw, I added primer to prevent any rust. The handle needed repairs and the second handle had disintegrated. My brother-in-law made a new one (not pictured).
Total painting time was about 6 hours.

Unknown brand, vintage combination handsaw. This old timer was headed to the dump. Completely covered in rust, broken horn (top of unique handle).
Cleaned up using electrolysis, buffed the bolts, 6 hours to paint. Ready for the next show.

Bought this old rusty saw (Warranted Superior with eagle medallion). Cleaned it up using electrolysis, polished the hardware, left the wood handle alone. Added the artwork.

Very unique handle with the medal support plate. Handle looks like a Disston but not 100% sure. Hopefully I'll sell it this weekend.
