Three years ago, we opened the doors to the barn.

What started as a leap of faith has become a studio, a shop, and a place that has brought so many wonderful people through these doors.

There have been houses to design, antiques to hunt down, furniture to install, candles to sell, and more than a few long days in between. But the best part has always been the people — our clients, customers, friends, neighbors, and everyone who has stopped in along the way.

Today, Faye Studio and Hawthorn Shoppe share this little barn, and I couldn’t be more grateful for what these three years have brought.

This fall marks three years since we opened the barn—Hawthorn Shoppe on one side, Faye Studio on the other.

Three years of antiques, candles, books, flowers, fabric, furniture, samples, projects, and all sorts of odd little things coming through the doors.

We’re so grateful for everyone who has stopped in, worked with us, shopped with us, and helped make this little barn what it is.

Come celebrate with us at our Fall Open House on September 26.

Interior design is not just choosing the pretty things.

It’s being there when the walls are still open, looking at electrical plans and deciding where every light should go. It’s working through cabinetry, plumbing, millwork, hardware and all the little decisions that become rather important once the house is finished.

And yes, eventually we get to the fabrics, furniture, art and pillows.

But by then, we’ve already been in the weeds for quite some time.

Faye Studio is full-service by design. We’re involved from the bones of the house through the last book placed on the coffee table.

I have always believed that a home should tell the story of the people who live there.

The books stacked beside the chair you reach for every evening. The antique discovered on a rainy afternoon and carried home years ago. The table that fills with family, friends, and conversation long after dessert has been served. These are the details that make a house feel lived in and loved.

As founder and principal designer of Faye Studio, I have spent the last fifteen years creating homes that are layered, timeless, and deeply personal—spaces that feel collected rather than decorated, and that grow more beautiful with time.
