The fastest way to make an old house feel high-end? Look at your light switches. ✨

When I walk into a historic home, I notice the trim, the floors, the original doors… and then there’s a plastic switch plate from 1985 right in the middle of it all. It’s such a small thing, but it pulls the whole room out of its story.

Swapping to brass toggle or rotary dimmer switches is one of my favorite little upgrades. They honor the age of the house, they feel lovely under your fingers, and every room looks more finished.

They’re an investment, so start with the switch you touch every day, like the one by your front door.

Small living room? You don’t have to choose between a chair that’s comfy and a chair that actually fits. 🪴

I hear it all the time: the recliners that fit the room are stiff, and the comfy ones swallow the whole space. Good news, that compromise is over.

In today’s blog post, I rounded up my favorite small-space seating! Like swivel chairs that turn from the TV to the conversation, without dragging furniture across the rug.

I’m also sharing two of my secret hosting hacks. My favorite: dining chairs on casters. They tuck under the table for everyday meals, then roll right into the living room when company comes. ✨

A small footprint isn’t about having less. It’s about choosing pieces that work twice as hard.

Key4Women was actually the first women’s event I ever attended, so this feels like such a beautiful full-circle moment.
