You have been wanting to update your kitchen, but the numbers feel overwhelming. You wonder if you need to just live with the kitchen you have.

Please hear me on this. That reaction is not you being unrealistic. It is almost always one line item that makes the biggest impact, and it is usually new cabinetry.

So here is how I coach clients through it. Save on cabinets by painting them. Spend where your hands land every day. That’s hardware, hinges and drawer slides, counters, lighting. Those are the things that make a kitchen feel solid or feel flimsy, and you notice them every single morning.

If your layout already works, your cabinet boxes are not the problem. They can be painted (and we can do it for you!) Knowing where to save and where to spend makes all the difference.
