Can anyone tell me what's wrong in this picture?? Not sure is this is why nothing turned out or it was just the kiln gods angry that I've been away so long. 😭

This is what 2206 degrees looks like, just approaching cone 6 which is 2232 before it shuts off. I love the power and magic of my kiln. 🔥

Fired up Sparkplug today! Only six pots in there. All but one should be going to Sunny Days https://www.sunnydaystucson.com in a week or two.

Even though it's 100 degrees outside these days and it's only going to get hotter, I'm going to do some glazing this week, run the kiln and maybe throw a few pots. I'll be starting very early in the mornings! Would like to make a couple of pie plates, planters and maybe some more mugs. The Gingers need to start preparing!!

Looking forward to the New Year and getting back into the studio. I do have a bunch of pots that need to be glazed soon as well. I've been using my time the last half of the year to crochet some big projects and also am trying to learn to knit (which is not going to so well actually!)🤣

I'm up in Seattle for the week with my baby Ginger Boi, but when I get home, I'll be posting a few pots for sale. Here are some small cereal type bowls that just came out of the kiln. They turned out so nice, glazed in different color celadons. The yellow is a new, sort of matte yellow glaze, so creamy and buttery. Will definitely be making more pots with this. 🧡

I'm going back out to the my garage studio in the morning to make some mugs and also a larger, flat dish to try and make a fountain. Any other suggestions?? I'm hoping to fire a bisque and glaze kiln before we leave at the end of July for a long trip.
