A selection of recent projects showcases my versatility as a craftsman. One notable piece is a spaceship-themed creation, soon to be dispatched to Florida, featuring teal green velvet, a tufted cone, and seat. A return to my old stomping grounds provided an opportunity to complete the restoration of an antique sofa, reupholstered in a beautiful white linen. An antique rocker presented an interesting challenge, which I addressed by updating it with a vibrant fabric. The discovery of a metal stamp revealed the piece's origins, tracing back to the B.L Marble Chair Company, established in 1895. While the exact date of production remains uncertain, the rocker's historical significance is undeniable. Additional projects included two teal dining chairs, part of a larger set of six, as well as boat seats in a Merit Marine grey, black, and white combination. The restoration of an antique caned highback chair was also completed, involving the removal of the caning on the seat and reupholstering it in a cranberry linen, finished with antique brass decorative nails. Forthcoming projects, including refinishing tasks, are anticipated. I am thankful for the opportunity to work on these projects and for my continued health.
