Pottery photo shoot in the garden today!

A peak into a newer side of my studio practice. I start and end every making session with resin incense burned on charcoal disks and light a candle. I do this to center myself, set intentions for everything I make, and to connect to loved ones who have since passed to the other side. This daily ceremony of intentionality is starting to make profound differences in my making process. Never have I felt closer to the earth, art, myself, and my supportive community of makers, family, and friends!

Should you be interested in doing something similar, I will be focusing this year on the creation of ritual and ceremonial based ceramics! incense burners, candle holder, offering dishes, etc.
