Apparently Bigfoot got tired of walking. 😂🏍️🌲

He traded stomping through the woods for cruising on two wheels — and honestly, we can’t blame him.

It feels like everyone is feeling the squeeze right now — families, customers, and small businesses alike.

Here in Washington, regular gas is averaging about $5.56 a gallon, while diesel has climbed to around $7.44.

To put that into perspective, filling a 35-gallon diesel tank costs around $260 today — about $83 more than it did a year ago.

And fuel prices don’t stop at the pump. They affect the cost of transporting goods, shipping materials, delivering products, traveling to work and events, and ultimately the prices we all see every day.

For small businesses, that creates a tough cycle. It costs more to operate, while at the same time customers understandably have less extra money to spend after paying for fuel, groceries, housing and everyday bills.

We’ve seen it at events lately — lots of people walking around, talking, looking and loving what local vendors have created, but thinking a little harder before opening their wallets.

And honestly? We get it. ❤️

This isn’t just an Ole’Cal problem. It’s something we’re watching families, vendors and other small businesses navigate right alongside us.

So when shopping small isn’t in the budget, remember that a share, comment, recommendation or even stopping by a booth to say hi still means something.

Small businesses and the communities that support them are all trying to weather the same storm. ❤️
