Why the “Fastest” Flooring Installers Will Cost You Thousands Later! 🤦‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️
Speed over quality always catches up to you.
What you’re looking at here is a classic “stair-step” or “rack” install. Unskilled installers do this because it’s fast—they don’t have to stop, measure, or mix up there drop lenghts which takes more time out of there day!
Here’s why it’s a big mistake:
1. 🚨 Destroys the Locking System: Concentrating end-joints in a straight or stair diagonal or H patterns creates a weak seam zone. Heavy foot traffic will eventually break those click-lock joints apart. 
2. 🚨 Ruins the Wood Look: Natural hardwood and LVP are meant to be randomly staggered. A repeating stair pattern looks cheap and artificial. 
At Bino’s Flooring, we do it right the first time—proper random staggering, full expansion gaps, and solid prep. Don’t let cheap labor ruin high-end materials. And cost you double 💰 after the fact.

What happens when you pull up old carpet...
You never know what’s hiding underneath! On this project, we uncovered a shifting concrete crack with the left side sitting a full 1/4” higher than the right side. 📏 If you just lay new luxury vinyl plank or hardwood straight over an uneven subfloor like this, your floor will flex, the locking systems will break, and your investment goes down the drain.
