My name is Esther and I’m the owner of Hilo de Amor-Tread of Love. I was born in colorful and beautiful Oaxaca, Oaxaca Mexico and currently live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Although, I’ve lived in the United States for over 20 years, the Indigenous people of Oaxaca, Mexico never left my heart. I especially have a passion to help those who are less fortunate and were not given the opportunities or educatio
n to reach their full potential. As long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about helping families and educating others about my culture, language and traditions. For two decades, I worked in fast paced corporate world, with a large company. I learned a lot and will always be appreciative of the opportunity. However, I also missed spending valuable time with the people I cherish most – my family. In 2018, I left the company and today, I have no regrets about leaving the office, as it made me realize that the dream to help others on a grander scale, laid dormant far too long. Quote: “Every morning you have two choices: continue to sleep with your dream or wake up and chase them.” – Author unknown. My passion is People and I have a dream to promote original, authentic and unique crafts of the Latin artisans. There will always be excuses or reasons keeping you from doing what you love. “As soon as you begin to pursue a dream, your life wakes up and everything has meaning.”
I appreciate you reading my story. All purchases made from Hilo de Amor-Tread of Love are helping support Latin artisans and their families.
