We all have daydreams and visions about what our ideal home can become and it can be hard to turn that into a reality. Especially, without a designer on board to help bring that vision to life. It’s my job to interpret your family needs and desires to create a plan you love and then communicate that vision/plan to your builder and the trades so that it can become the very best it can be. You may have a vision and Pinterest boards full of inspiration but without a plan to bring those ideas into a cohesive bundle it may end up disjointed and miss the mark.

As an interior designer, that’s exactly what I do! You may be surprised to learn that your wood finishes don’t have to match! Take this space for example, it’s a mix of light, medium and dark wood stains all work in tandem. Why does it work? Because the undertones are the same. They all have the same common denominator. If the stain was all the same it would have fallen flat but with some variety it makes it sing!

It’s the quiet details that elevate a home. That’s why a thoughtful plan from the very beginning of a project with someone who has that “designer eye”, ensures function, beauty, and flow all work together seamlessly.

I know how much hard work goes into creating these homes, and this is in no way a critique of the people behind them. These are just things I notice as a designer. Little details that can make a big difference in how a home functions and feels.
