📚✂️ JUNK / ART JOURNAL PALOOZA! ✂️📚
Saturday, October 10 • 12–8 PM
$25 for the day
Inky Blues Community Art Center
So…what exactly IS junk journaling?
Think of it as part scrapbook, part art journal, part collage—and part treasure hunt!
Junk journaling is all about taking interesting bits and pieces of paper and turning them into creative journal pages. You might layer old book pages with magazine cutouts, add a beautiful piece of patterned paper, tuck in a tag or envelope, stamp over it, doodle on it, add a favorite quote, or simply arrange things because you like the way they look together.
There are no rules and no art experience needed. Your journal can be messy, beautiful, quirky, vintage, colorful, meaningful—or a little bit of everything.
We’ll have a big assortment of materials to dig through, including papers, old books, magazines, images, tags, envelopes, stamps, stickers and lots of interesting little odds and ends just waiting to become part of a page.
And you don’t have to stay all day! Your $25 gives you access from 12–8 PM, so feel free to drop in and out throughout the day. Create for a while, head out to Apple Fest to grab some food, do a little shopping, then come back to Inky Blues, settle in and make some more art!
Bring a journal you’re already working in or start something new. Spend the day creating alongside other journalers, swapping ideas, seeing what everyone else is making and getting inspired by materials you might never have thought to use.
Come for a few hours or settle in and create all day. Your $25 covers the entire 12–8 PM event.
This will also be our last class at Inky Blues Community Art Center, so we’d love to fill the studio one more time with paper, creativity, conversation and wonderfully messy tables.
