I haven't posted in FOREVER here!
And honestly, shame on me. Because I really never left the game. I just moved to the sidelines for a while.
Well, I am back but with a different approach. I rent a booth at a local antique/vintage mall. It's very small so shifting from a shop that was 10,000 square feet to an 8x5 booth is challenging. But I spend my few off days (I really missed working for the government so I now have a p/t position as a county VSO) hunting for the good stuff. Hunting in NC is very different from NY. My absolute favorite hunting ground is a Church Sale. I also frequent local thrift shops and auctions.
Yes, I have a ridiculous amount of treasures in multiple storage facilities, but it's such good stuff!
A big challenge here is the weather. It's so 🥵. For a good portion of the year you really can't work in our storage. So I am hoping it cools down soon so I can get into my storage and rediscover my great finds to share with you.
Oh, you all know how I 💕 kitchen wares and dishes? Well, now that I have time, when we entertain I can really set the mood with fantastic dishware and tableware. The linen I have collected at reasonable (cheap) prices is crazy. So, I'll share the next time we entertain.
So basically I'm back in the saddle again. Re-engage in my page and enjoy the ride.
