A Goodwill pallet purchase means one thing around here: everybody gets put to work. 😂

We picked up a pallet of Goodwill merchandise to sort through for resale and future auction inventory… and apparently Quinn decided 1½ years old was old enough to join the unloading crew.

One bag at a time. 💙

We love these pallet buys because you never quite know what’s going to be inside — everyday items, new-in-box finds, resale inventory, random surprises… all of it.

Some of the best resale opportunities aren’t always the most obvious finds. Sometimes they’re sitting in a box of old games, tucked into a collection, or hiding in plain sight at an auction. 🔎

We picked 5 finds from our upcoming auction that we think resellers should LOOK TWICE at!

He was “just checking the consignments.”

Apparently that now includes trying them on. 😂

One minute Nathan is looking through what came in… the next he’s walking around like the fur coat was obviously meant for him.

This is exactly why we can’t leave him unsupervised around the inventory.

There are two kinds of people at an auction:

The person who says, “We do not need that.”

…and Nathan. 😂

What started as one lamp somehow became multiple lamps, because apparently Nathan has a plan to do something “extraordinary” with them.

Jami remains unconvinced.

We’ll keep you posted if this turns into a masterpiece… or just a larger collection of lamps.

Think auctions are mostly antiques and collectibles? Not even close.

Some of the items that do really well are the things people actually use every day — household items, tools, electronics, new-in-box merchandise, and all kinds of modern finds.

That’s one of the things Nathan notices over and over: useful can be just as desirable as old.

Sometimes the item everyone overlooks is exactly what someone else has been waiting to find.

We saw the signs… and there was really only one option. 👀

Garage sale detour.

No big plan, no fancy setup — just a driveway full of stuff and that little voice that says, “There could be something good in there.”

Honestly, this is one of our favorite parts of this whole world. Estate sales, garage sales, auctions, thrift stores… you never really know what you’re going to find until you stop and look.

So of course we had to take a lap.

How does Nathan find value in an item? 👀

It usually starts with the details most people skip right past.

On this plate, Nathan immediately noticed a few clues worth paying attention to: it’s hand-painted, it has a Limoges mark, and it’s signed by the artist.

None of those things automatically mean an item is valuable — but together, they tell him it’s worth slowing down, turning it over, and doing a little more research.

That’s one of the biggest lessons in auctions and resale: sometimes the difference between “just an old plate” and something worth a second look is on the bottom.
