Our Story

Welcome to Rustic Lux Décor And Staging. Let us tell you a little about our business; after working with the Miami Dade Police Department and Miami Dade Corrections And Rehabilitation Department, Law Enforcement Services, We retired in 2010 & 2013. It was a career that we loved and excelled in. We retired after 30+ years of service (1980 - 2013). Prior to our retirement, we had purchased land in Greenville, West Virginia, where we would build our retirement home. During our first year in West Virginia, I decided to pursue another career goal, a hobby that I absolutely loved, interior decorating. In the beginning it all started as a hobby, which, I had been doing for many years, but, as time passed, and, after working on several projects in our previous homes, and/or helping friends with their projects, I decided to pursue interior decorating full time. We then decided to open our business in June of 2015, “Rustic Lux Décor And Staging.” We have gained much knowledge throughout the years in interior decorating and through various hands on projects and training courses. The first step in creating a beautiful home or office is to have a clear vision of what you would like an envision. Make a list of wishes and long-range plans. This will help you avoid costly mistakes and will also help you use your budget wisely. There are many phases in interior decorating, such as: Plans, Budget for the project, Requesting building and permits (if necessary), Contracting Sub-contractors (if necessary) such as: electricians, plumbers, tile person, rug installation, etc., budget for furniture, accessories, lighting, paint, appliances, working with measurements, use of space, placement of furniture, (room size), use of materials, colors, patterns, textures, accessories, etc. Interior decorating is based on an individuals designer fingerprint style; the style of the person who will be using it. The room should reflect the persons personality, vision, color choices, purpose and usage for the room, and, allocated budget for the project.

*Please Note: The vision and budget for the project(s) must coincide in order to achieve the end result desired. *Fees will vary by the room and/or selections made; such as either using existing furniture, or budget to purchase new furniture, window treatments, floors/materials, décor, subcontractors (if needed) labor/fees, such as: applying for building permits, if necessary.
