❤️ Y'all, I've been thinking about making a little change to Rusty Angel, and I wanna hear what you think! ❤️

I love creating personalized gifts, and I'd really like to focus more on making things that are special to the person receiving them instead of just making generic items.

One idea I've been tossing around is memory bears and pillows made from sentimental clothing! 🧸❤️

Imagine turning Dad's favorite flannel shirt or a loved one's clothing into a keepsake you can hold onto for years to come. 🥹❤️ Or maybe your babies are growing up way too fast (because, seriously, how does that happen so quickly?! 😭). Do you have baby clothes you'd love to turn into a little memory bear so you can hold onto a piece of those precious little years? 🧸❤️ Something that carries a little piece of their story with it, whether it's remembering someone you miss or preserving a moment you wish you could keep forever.

I'd still offer all the personalized goodies y'all know and love — tumblers, mugs, shirts, keychains, painted items, quilting, and more! And if you've got a special idea that's not on that list, don't be afraid to ask. I'm always open to special orders!

My goal is to make things that mean something to YOU. Whether it's a gift for someone you love, a way to remember someone special, or just an idea you've had in your head that you'd love to bring to life, I'd love to help make it happen. ❤️

Somebody tell me how we got here so FAST?! 😂😭

Y’all, that’s just 9 weeks and 4 days until Christmas! The twinkling lights, the Christmas music, the smell of cookies baking, the memories we make, and those special moments with the people we love most. ❤️💚

And if you’re anything like me, you’ve already got a million Christmas ideas running through your head! 🎁✨ Things you want to make, gifts you want to give, traditions you want to keep, and memories you’re hoping to create.

But in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, I hope we can remember that Christmas doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. Sometimes the sweetest moments are the simplest ones… a handmade gift, a heartfelt hug, a good laugh around the table, or just being together. 🥹❤️

Here at Rusty Angel 🪽, this time of year always gets my creative heart going! There’s just something special about making things with love and knowing they might become part of someone else’s Christmas memories. And I can’t wait to share more of that with y’all! 🥰

LONG POST ALERT... Thanks in advance for reading it all🩵.

As I start working on Christmas order designs and mockups, I'm sitting here feeling ALL the Christmas feels. ❤️🎄

Every so often, I catch a whiff of those cinnamon pine cones I bought on a whim because I walked into Kroger and that's all I could smell. 😂 I NEVER buy them, but this year felt different. So, home they came!

My family has endured some great loss this year. And when we experience another loss, it brings up the loss of my mother and grandmothers all over again.

Three women who played a part in making me the woman I am today. Three women I can only hope to emulate in my own way. I wish I could have just one more conversation with them. Ask them questions. Hear their voices. Tell them things I probably didn't tell them enough when they were here.

I hope a little bit of each of them lives on in me. ❤️

I honestly don't even know where I'm going with this post. 🤷‍♀️ I guess I just needed to share what's on my heart today.

I'm feeling VERY Christmas already. And the older I get, the more I realize that Christmas isn't just about presents, decorations, or even the hustle and bustle of the season.

Christmas is a feeling.

It's hope. It's love. It's remembering. It's nostalgia. It's the innocence and excitement of children who believe in the magic of Christmas. It's the traditions we carry on, the smells that take us right back in time, and the memories that make us smile even when they make us a little sad.

It's also missing the people who should still be here to celebrate with us.

Maybe that's why those cinnamon pine cones hit differently this year. Maybe I'm just a little more aware of how much the little things mean. The traditions, the memories, the people who helped make us who we are.

And maybe that's a little bit of what Rusty Angel is all about, too. ❤️ So much of what I make is about creating something personal, something that means something to someone. A little reminder of a person, a memory, or a moment that we want to hold on to.

I guess Christmas has me feeling all of that a little earlier than usual this year. And honestly? I'm okay with that. 🎄❤️

I made this sweatshirt myself! The sleeves are hand-sewn and quilted by ME, and I absolutely LOVE how the colors turned out! 🩵💜

I almost didn’t share this bear.

Not because I’m not proud of it, but because I can see every little thing that isn’t perfect.

I cut the pattern, sewed every piece, and stuffed it myself. And yes… there are crooked stitches and little imperfections.

But then I thought about who this bear is for.

She won't see the crooked stitches.

She'll see a teddy bear made just for her. She'll hug it, love it, and hopefully make memories with it.

And maybe that’s a reminder worth holding onto:

Life is too short to wait for perfect.

I’ve been through enough to know that happiness isn’t found in having a perfect life. It’s found in choosing to enjoy the one you have.

So I’ll leave the crooked stitches right where they are.

Because sometimes the imperfections are what make something real.

And real is beautiful. ❤️🧸
